Exploring the dataset with interactive visualization tools

Key Insights:

- Deadliest ages to have CVD in both genders is ages 60-70 for women it was more evenly distributed than men.
- The smoke rate among women that died was 9 times higher than women who lived. For men there was neglible variation.
- Female paitents are more anaemic, diabetic and with a higer BP than male patients but the smoking rate is significantly lower.

Key definitions:

- Anaemia: decrease of red blood cells or hemoglobin.
- Creatine Phosphokinase: levels of the CPK enzyme in the blood (mcg/L).
- Ejection Fraction: percentage of blood leaving the heart at each contraction.

Death caused by heart disease is higher in men, and for both genders the leading states with the highest death rates are:
Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabma.
The Southeastern region of the United States is known as the “Stroke Belt” because of the excess stroke mortality in this region as compared to the rest of the country.
